Investment operations that promote the diversification of the regional production base are supported in terms of:
1. Creation of micro and small businesses;
2. Expansion or modernization of micro and small companies.
A company in the start-up phase is considered to be created, up to 5 years after the start of activity. Operations must present an eligible investment equal to or greater than €25,000.00.
Operations are considered to contribute to the diversification of the production base when they contribute to the development of activities in the industry sector, or to the dynamization of the Regional strategy domains (Sea Economy, Endogenous Land Resources, Digitalization and ICT and Environmental Sustainability) . Activities included in the Tourism sector are not eligible.
On this date, applications are being accepted until 16/12/2024, exclusive support for investment projects located in the Algarve region. In 2024, support will also be published for the other regions of Portugal.
The maximum financing rate for eligible operations may be up to 60%. Financing in the form of a non-refundable incentive.
Eligible costs:
- Tangible assets, including the acquisition of machinery and equipment, costs directly attributable to placing them in the location and conditions necessary for them to be able to function, as well as the acquisition of computer equipment, including the software necessary for their operation. These expenses must be amortizable and included in the company's assets;
- Intangible assets, including the transfer of technology through the acquisition of national and international patent rights, licenses, technical knowledge not protected by patent, and standard software or software developed specifically for a specific purpose. These expenses must be amortizable and included in the company's assets;
- Studies, diagnoses, audits, marketing plans, architectural and engineering services related to and essential to the implementation of the investment project;
- Costs incurred with participation in fairs and exhibitions abroad, including space rental, construction and operation of the stand;
- Costs of specialized consultancy services, provided by external consultants, which do not constitute a continuous or periodic activity, nor are they related to the normal functioning of the beneficiaries' activity, including expenses with the intervention of certified accountants or statutory auditors, in validating the expense of payment requests;
- Costs associated with the certification of products, processes or services, costs of designing and registering new brands;
- Construction of buildings, remodeling works and other constructions, as long as they are duly justified by the objective of the operation;
- Indirect costs.
